What is a composite door?
A composite door is built in layers rather than from a single material. Ours have a tough glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) skin with a realistic woodgrain texture, an insulating foam-filled core, a reinforced central board and engineered-wood stability, all held in water-resistant polymer composite rails. The rails stop water soaking in, which helps prevent the bowing that can affect doors with a solid timber core.
*The manufacturer's indicative calculation compares its door with a 48 mm solid-timber-core composite door and a 44 mm timber panelled door.

Thicker 50 mm units are available for 70 mm doors.

Yes. You can choose one colour for the outside and another for the inside.
Can a composite door be fitted in a conservation area?
